Voopee Name Picked and Winner Announced

You know what tomorrow is, huh smarty pants? I'll give you a hint it's the day after today, and today we announce the Name that Voopee Winner! There were so many clever entries too. It was a tough choice, but we decided to tally up the votes. Whoopee. Hope your 4th was at least a third as good as last year's celebration, so maybe you won't be needing to drink that whole 5th all by your lonesome. Tomorrow's the 5th.

And the winning name of the Molasses Lemon Voopee yep! The name with the most votes is:
Props to my peeps...my buddy Crazy Boy and front and sidekick Marcia who helped with the video announcement.
But since I provided the new voopee name it just wouldn't be fair to mail myself a box of voopees. I'm not sure how much postage I would need anyway. We decided to add all the terrific contestants' names into the gigantic world psychic number generator until it spit out the following winner. Sorry about the spit. The winner of the Molasses Lemon Voopees box is:

"Name That Voopee Whoopee" This Contest Rules

It's Give Away Time with Name That Voopee! But First a Very Very Extremely Important Message From the President of Veganville, after she clears her throat.

Madam President

Hello. Spittle Spittle. In a concerted effort to gain even one more freaking follower, we here at Veganville have decided against our better judgement which hardly ever gets better, to have a contest. We used to have a lot of contests back in the day, but then we were traumatized.
Who can forget the Nasoya give away Debacle of late 2011 that dragged into 2012.
For a recap and the video of the biggest contest number generator in the world please see http://gigi-2boomers.blogspot.com/2012/01/labor-of-love-nasoya-cool-beans-winner.html
Sorry about the long linky, Blogger is not cooperating. After many many sessions on the couch and lots of free pharmaceutical samples, we here at Veganville, (actually there is no "we" it's just me), are ready to leave that contest trauma in the past. We are now ready to woo you with a Contest. Woo Hoo.
Name That Voopee
You probably know what a voopee is but in case you don't. A Voopee is not a cake, not a cookie, it's got a middle, it's a Voopee.

Anyway, most of our voopees have clever names, but we've been slow as molasses coming up with a new funky ass name for our Molasses - Lemon. Poor guy, right now he's just Molasses Lemon.
We've thought of
1. Slow as Molasses
2. Molasses for the Masses
3. Move Your Molasses

What's your favorite? Can you come up with something better? Help us and you could win a box of the newly named voopees.

Very official Contest Rules
1. Add your self as a blog follower.
2. Tell us your favorite molasses and lemon voopee name, or come up with something else kick ass.
3. We will add your name to the largest number generator in the world.
4. Winner will receive a box of molasses/lemon voopees. If you are gluten free, we will send you some gluten free cupcakes instead. How nice is that?
5. Sorry contest is only open to the United States.
6. Winner Announced Tuesday June 26th 10 PM California time.

 Thank you for playing. Please!

Happy Thanksgiving 2012

Dear Everybody-

Veganville's Black Friday 4 Day Sale was spectacular, and had us working 12 hour days. Thank you to all the wonderful people who made purchases. A big shout out to my awesome readers who commented when I was MIA. Before we get down to business here I'd like to ask you a couple of quick but important questions. Most  importantly, do you all have my correct address so you can send me nice vegan gifts?
Just in case, you've misplaced my address here it is again:
                                               GiGi
                                               C/O the Pen Pal Program
                                                Attica
                                               Cell Block 7
                                               Sorry I forgot my zip

Next question: Is it January yet? Did I miss Festivus or any fun ethnic holidays? You know I hate being late. I'd rather not do a recap of Thanksgiving in the first week of December like another blogger friend I know, ahem ahem Andrea. Instead I am going to be the first blogger in the world to post my recipe ideas for Thanksgiving 2012. I win! I win! Serve these roasted chickpeas to your Thanksgiving 2012 guests. Since they are roasted they might have a good shelf life.
I swiped this delicious roasted chickpea recipe from Michelle over at lovinlivivegan. Michelle testified, hence my new sentence. Sorry about the chipped plate, it is the best I could do in the can. P.S. these chickpeas are from a can.

This is the cashew-cuke dip on page 66 in Veganomicon, served with some toasted pita. Some of the stupid pita bread was moldy. I salvaged a couple of pieces and gifted the rest to my slumlord. I told him it was pesto. I made this recipe twice over the holiday and will make it twice over the Thanksgiving Holiday in 2012. Hit me up if you'd like the recipe. I'm in the pen pal program, you know.
You see this funky pie thing. Down there. This is my answer to the looming question about Thanksgiving. Why does everybody eat leftovers the day after Thanksgiving? Everybody loves leftovers so much, so why don't we all just eat leftovers on Thanksgiving Day. This is leftover pasta made into a pizza. Come to my house for leftovers on Thanksgiving 2012! I should be out by then. By the way I added Nasoya tofu to this delectable pie. The Nasoya people just sent out a tee shirt to me to tell you that I used their product. They sent along some coupons too. I'll be back in the next couple of days with a giveaway and your chance to win these same Nasoya goodies. Stay tuned. I'll bring you the recipe and brand new video too.

These babies are the Molasses and Lemon Voopees for sale over at Veganville. I can't leave you without giving you a new coupon code. Get 20% off at Veganville with coupon code veganmeow.
Well I'm off to my "write and go free" class. Boy I miss sharp pencils! Happy Thanksgiving 2012 everybody.
