MoFo 12 Some Desserts You Can Mail

Guess what?! Today I actually snail mailed these packages to today's virtual Potluck. That's how magical these surprises are. Thank you Annie @An Unrefined Vegan and Angela @ Canned Time.

I like lists. I don't always like what is on lists. Still I like lists. I used to be neater and more organized. Today I went to interview someone and I brought crossed out crumpled up notes that looked like they came from the Una bomber school of penmanship. My maniacal   handwriting would have embarrassed me in years past. I guess in my dotage I'm becoming a little more forgiving of myself. I also had faith that if I brought dessert to the interview it would make up for my messy magic marker questions.

Come to think of It I think Ted Kaczynski wrote a lot of his letters on a Smith Corona. A couple were written on brown paper bags. I read that the Smith Corona sold for about $25,000 on E-Bay. The Smith Corona was shipped in the paper bags. This whole purchase defies logic, imagine paying for shipping insurance for the una bomber's typewriter.

I am not usually a stressed out person. For the life of me I couldn't figure out what the heck I wanted to make for dessert for today's blog. I felt the clock ticking and the pressure building up.
I decided to share with you a compassionate vegan gift box. I made it for my friend Cathy when she got her new ice creme maker. It is perfect for a little hostess gift, is easy to send through the mail, and will keep you from doing time.

I finally decided to whip up this parfait  today. It is layered with agave sweetened chocolate espresso cupcake, double fudge mousse, and coconut creme. I would not recommend sending this glass parfait through the mail.

Jail Break Parfait
Don't worry I'll send you the recipe soon. (you can find it now)
Love,
Your friend GiGi

  3. Such a great gift you gave your friend and that parfait! It looks scrumptious.

I love lists, too, and my handwriting sounds like yours. Mike often has to ask me what something says. It got really bad after I learned shorthand. Now it's hard for me to not combine the two! Plus, I write really fast.... :)

  5. I think if you start to make your lists with little letters cut from magazines and newspapers, it will be time to worry. I make lists, too, but then forget to bring them with me. I should add, "bring list" to the list. I love the package you sent your friend — so clever and thoughtful. And the dessert looks exciting!

  6. Hahah, I'm with andrea - I either lose my to do lists, or write the same list compulsively three times and then just forget the important stuff while trying to figure out which of the three lists to bring...agh.
The little box for yr friend is so perfect! I wish I thought of that.

    1. Do you have room to bring all three lists? Or is that too overwhelming?
      Thank you, FF.
