Mofo Case # 7 Miss Marple Drinks and Buys Vibrams

Miss Marple: Yes Inspector. But what leads you to believe that GiGi Anber might be in England.
Inspector: Have you watched the most recent surveillance tape, Miss Marple? Watch the surveillance tape of the missing Blogger below, Miss Marple.

Miss Marple: That girl does seem to be in a pickle. But the Jewish Zydeco music does not seem to lead to London, Inspector. I am quite certain of that.
Inspector: Would you be willing to risk your fine reputation on that?
Miss Marple: It is nice of you to believe that I have a reputation and a fine one at that. I do have some clues, but according to the tape GiGI seems quicker than me. I might have to make some changes in my diet to catch her.
Inspector: What are you thinking of doing, Miss Marple?
Miss Marple: I have been thinking of going Gluten free, and I can no longer run as fast as I once did in my tan oxfords.
Inspector: What are you planning to do to catch the missing Blogger then Miss Marple.
Miss Marple: In addition to going Gluten Free, I will eschew hot tea and drink Vega-Chai smoothies with flax seed. I have also found a wonderful pair of joggers in a second hand shop while on a recent jaunt. Good Day Inspector.

Miss Marple Shows Off Her New Vibrams

Miss Marple's Gluten Free Pecan Sandy Scones With Vega-Chai Tea
Scone Recipe based on Babycakes Raspberry Scones with some deviations
6 Scones

2 C Namaste "Perfect Blend" Gluten Free Flour
1 T baking powder
1/4 tsp sea salt
1/2 C melted coconut oil and more for brushing
1/3 C agave
1/4 C hot water
1 1/2 C chopped dates
1 C chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking pan with parchment. In a medium bowl whisk the first three ingredients together. Add the oil, agave and vanilla. Pour the water into the mix and stir. Mix in the chopped dates and pecans til well combined. Scoop 1/3 C of batter for each scone. It might be a little crumbly, just piece each scone back together. Place an inch apart on the baking sheet. Brush each scone with melted coconut oil. Bake for 10 minutes. Brush again. Rotate pan about 180 degrees. Bake for 4 to 6 more minutes. Remove from oven. Let scones cool on their pan on a wire rack for 15 minutes. Remove carefully with spatula. These were quite good after a couple hours in the fridge.

Vega Shake
1 Packet Chai Vega
2 C rice milk
1.5 scoops Rice Dream Ice Creme
4 ice cubes.

Blend and snoop!

Anyone with any information concerning GiGi is urged to call . Thank you.

  1. Ha ha, so awesome! I'm glad you could interview Miss Marple. She always gets to the bottom of the mystery. Also, those hot pink vibrams she found are the bomb!

    1. Yes Yes, Miss Marple has been misunderstood for most of her life, after all Miss Marple was a spinster even as an infant.

  3. The dancers look familiar. They look like the people I used to dance with in Madison, Wis. Maybe that's where GiGi is. And did you say the Vibrams are gluten-free? The whole gluten-free thing Miss Marple is pushing is a mystery to me.

    1. You know the dancers?! If you are a personal friend of the dancers maybe you can track them down to help find GiGi. You are not clueless, then.
I believe the Vibrams are indeed gluten-free.
