Veganville Park

Today's my birthday. I know lots of you have said it's perfectly fine for me to eat sugar today. I  want you to know that I am not indulging. I made spartan parfaits, for later. I have to get an order ready for tomorrow morning, and I want to do at least one more blog before heading out to LA. Then I'll partake in the parfait.

I know what you're thinking too...
I can see it on your face. You're thinking...
For the love of God, GiGi it's your B-day and who knows how many of those you're even going to have left because well... you're kind of old .

You might as well devour some big ass vegan ganache cake now. Really, GiGi who knows how much longer you'll even have your teeth. Pretty soon you won't just be forgetting your cars keys (oh that's right you don't drive), why you'll forget you're even a vegan and you'll need someone to explain to you what a cupcake even is...while their adjusting your chin cup.
Go ahead have a vegan oreo cupcake now, while you still can, GiGi. Who cares what a chubster you are, at least you're fairly alert. (a big cancel, cancel to the universe!!!)

I can't believe you are all thinking that, on my birthday too. That's really not nice, especially since I've been experiencing all 7 stages of sugar grief. Now, because it's my birthday and you've been extra mean to me, I'm going to sing. For your listening pleasure I will include lyrics.

VEGANVILLE PARK
Vocals: GiGi
Piano: Larry

Spring was never waiting for us boy.
It ran one step ahead as we followed in the dance.
Between the parted pages and were pressed
in love's hot fevered iron like a shrunken pair of pants.

Veganville Park is melting in the dark.
All the sweet green icing flowing down.
Someone ate the cupcakes in the rain.
I don't think that I can take it.
Cause it took so long to weigh this.
And I'll never eat my recipe again.
Oh nooooo.

Someone snuck a bundt cake in the rain.
I don't think that I can fake it. Cause it took so long to weigh this.
And I'll never eat my recipe again.
Oh nooooo.

  1. That was soooo beautiful there are tears in my eyes. I actually figured Larry was more of a tenor than soprano however.
    Happy belated (sorry) birthday!

  2. Hey Gigi,

Happy Birthday. Love the song. I am a follower. Sounds cultish, though. Still, I can't resist the thought of melting green icing. Yum.

  3. Thank you for your honesty, Mark. I am sure "Veganville Park" brought a tear to many an eye, but some were loathe to admit it. Larry is actually a bass profundo, with a swift kick can become an alto.

  4. Thank you for your b'day wishes, Kate. Ha ha. It's the melting mint green icing cult. (the non-melting kind is available for sale);)
